  • Used NVIDIA IsaacGym to train a PPO agent for quadruped robot locomotion; investigated the Sim2Real gap and enhanced navigation algorithms.
  • Achieved 3× speedup of the navigation planner and optimized its performance.

  • Redesigned the communication method between lower-level and upper-level controllers, implementing a handshaking mechanism so that important messages are not lost due to interference; resolved the team's communication instability issues.
  • Designed and implemented a controller for the SCARA robot arm built by the team, using the inverse kinematics model; built a Gazebo simulation environment to reduce risk of damage to the physical robot.
